This was the first real box that I created. The wood was a special piece of figured cherry from a good friend. I wanted it to have a special place.
The sides are quarter sawn cherry which complements the figured top and bottom grain.
The corner accents and handle are wenge with it's beautiful grain and color.
The hinges are solid brass and are 95 degree opening to allow easy usage.
This piece was purchase by a co-worker and good friend to surprise his hard to surprise wife.
