This album documents the installation process for my 3HP Grizzly 0441 cyclone.
I spent months gathering parts.
My decision to use S&D PVC pipe came from reading many forum posts and a real dislike for sheet metal working. I also think the PVC pipe ended up being quieter.
In general I did not seal each joint. The friction fit of the the piping and the 3" overlap in the joints seems to cut most of the leakage. With the 3HP unit I still have plenty of suckage even when I forget and have 3 gates open at the same time. Generally I run with one or two 6" gates open.
