Continuing my obsession with Video in the workshop, I needed a second bucket pod type support for my new “B” camera a Canon VIXIA HF R500 Camcorder. There were some problems with the first Bucket Pod. The top of the stand has some “wobble” but works just fine once you start shooting. Also the first Bucket Pod required the sacrifice of a substantial Mono Pod.
I had found a lighting pole clamp while looking at various video lighting and shooting solutions. With this in hand I knew I wanted a very substantial vertical pole. This became a 3/4 black iron pipe, that was a pipe clamp pole.
NOTE: The clamp requires some knife work to reduce the spacing to allow the pipe to be clamped securely.
