With the drawers all installed in the carcass I am ready to find the nice wood for the face frame and the drawer fronts.
have a stash of cherry given to me by a friend who has to move his shop. So I went through those stacks. I wanted to be as economical as I could not wasting any wood. This meant that I used some gnarly wood. Also I did not go for a pefect board to board match. This is a shop furniture piece.
Found what I needed, milled it down.
I did finish surface using my hand planes on all of these pieces. They really turned out nice. So this will be my first all hand plane finishing. The surfaces are like glass.
This day ended with the face frame being completed.
